Punaluu Beach Park - FURTHER INFORMATION
Punaluu Beach Park - Oahu visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Punaluu Beach Park' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Hawaii.
Punaluu Beach Park lies right by the Kamehameha Hwy just south of Punaluu and the mouth of the Punaluu Stream into Mamalu Bay on the east coast of Oahu in Hawaii. Punalu'u beach is protected by a coral reef (visible int he satellite view of the Oahu Google map) and offers year round swimming and snorkeling. The beach is also popular for shore fishing. The beach is lined with trees giving plenty of shade and the park contains restrooms. The road at Punaluu is lined with gas stations and convenience stores.
Other nearby beaches include Kahana Bay Beach Park to the south and Kaluanui Beach a little to the north. Also to the north is Hauula Beach Park which has better snorkeling than Punaluu Beach. It should not be confused with it's more famous cousin, Punaluu Beach Park (Black Sands Beach) on Hawaii Island.
