Kahalu'u is a small settlement on the eastern windward side of Oahu island in Hawaii, a little north of Kane'ohe. Within Kahalu'u is a boat ramp, Khahlu'u Regional Park and the Kahalu'u Fishponds. Nearby, tucked in the hills of the Koolau Range are the Senator Fong's Plantation and Gardens to the north and the Valley of the Temples with the Byodo-in Temple attraction to the south.
This image shows the view along the coastline of Oahu. In the far north Chinaman's Hat Island can be seen as a little bump on the horizon, just off shore from Kualoa Regional Park. Nearby beaches and parks include Laenani Beach Park, Waiahole Beach and Heeia State Park.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Kahalu'u is about 6 miles north of Kaneohe and 18 miles south of Laie on the 830 (Kamakameha) Hwy on Kaneohe Bay.
