The Noorderterras promenade along the river Scheldt brings you from the Steen castle to north. Along your walk on the promenade, you'll pass the Noorderterras café and restaurant. It was built in 1889 and was used as an harbour office.

The Noorderterras (North Terrace) runs at roof level along the top of the warehouses that line the River Sheldt in Antwerp. At the northern end is the Noorderterras restaurant and a short distance beyond that are the Bonapartedok and Willemdok, two docks of Antwerp port. The promenade runs south to the Steen Castle. From there pedestrians can continue south along the river on the Zuidterras (South Terrace) to St Anna Tunnel.

The Noorderterras restaurant is visible to the north in this panorama. The most prominent landmark from here is the Cathedral of Our Lady, the Gothic cathedral on Handschoenmarkt.
