This is art deco building is the entrance of the St. Anna Tunnel. This tunnel was built underneath the river Schelde in 1931-1933. It connects the old centre with the newer neighbourhoods at the left bank (Linkeroever).

St. Anna Tunnel is an overlooked architectural sight in Antwerp. The tunnel is 572 long and still served by old wooden escalators.
