Magic Island is officially called Ala Moana State Park. This covers a small peninsula of reclaimed land jutting out from Ala Moana Beach Park next to Ala Moana Shopping Center in Honolulu. It is close to Waikiki on the south coast of Oahu. At the end of Magic Island is another small lagoon beach. Being a short walk from the hotels of Waikiki, the beaches in Ala Moana Beach Park and Magic Island are much quieter. They both have life guards and are protected by off shore reefs.

Ala Moana Beach Park is next to Ala Moana Blvd at the front of Ala Moana Shopping Center, the main bus interchange for Honolulu.
