Heroes' Square (Hősök tere) is a major tourist attraction at the top of Andrassy ut. The square is dominated by a 36m column on top of which is a statue of the Archangel Gabriel. around the base are 7 equestrian statues of conquering chiefs from the Magyar tribal who settled in the area around 890AD. Two colonnades are behind the column, and there are more statues of important Hungarian leaders in these colonnades.

There are a number of museums and other attractions near to Heroes' Square including the Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Hall. From here Kos Karoly Setany exits the rear of Heroes' Square to Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyad vára) and the Széchényi Thermal Baths in City Park.
