Grazer Uhrturm - FURTHER INFORMATION
Grazer Uhrturm - Graz visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Grazer Uhrturm' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Styria.
The Grazer Uhrturm is the old Clock Tower of Graz in Austria. A major landmark and attraction of the city, this 28m high clock tower dates back to 1560, though mention of clock towers on this site date back to 1265. It stands at the top of the Schloßberg overlooking the city.
The clock tower in Graz is unusual in that the hour hand is longer than the minute hand. Originally the clock had only th longer hour hand, and the other was added at a later date. Inside the Grazer Uhrturm is one of the oldest bells in the province, the 'Hour Bell' which dates from 1382.
