West Bexington is a tiny settlement on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset in England, just south of Abbotsbury between Weymouth and Bridport / West Bay. Running along the coast at West Bexington is Chesil Beach, a long, pebble and shingle beach that stretches for 18miles along the Dorset coast, joining Portland Bill with the mainland and enclosing the Fleet Lagoon which contains the Abbotsbury Swannery, a popular tourist attraction.
West Bexington is a quiet rural village, with a number of good Bed and Breakfast (B&B)'s and the Manor Hotel. This area is popular for walking during the summer months with both the 4.1 mile Swyre and Puncknowle walk and the 3.3 mile Limekiln Hill starting here. Other nearby attractions include St. Catherine's Chapel and the Hardy Monument. Running along the top of the Dorset Hills behind the beach is a path known as the Ridgeway, which offers spectacular panoramic views along the coast and over the Dorset hills.
