Piazza Venezia is an important Piazza in the heart of Rome, named after the adjacent Palazzo Venezia. The Piazza is at the foot of the Capitoline Hill, dominated by the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II at the southern end.
Piazza Venezia is close to many of the major tourist attractions in Rome. Nearby is the Roman Forum and the Colosseo (Colosseum) and next to it is the Foro Traiano (Trajan's Forum). Just a short walk north is the Pantheon.
