The remains Temple of Saturn stands at the northern end of the Roman Forum (Foro Magnum) in Rome. It was known as the 'Templum Saturni' or 'Aedes Saturnus'. The temple of Saturn was the oldest building in the Roman Forum, built between 501 and 498 BC. Today not much remains except the front portico standing and eight surviving columns and partially intact pediment. At one time the National Treasures of ancient Rome were kept here.
Nearby within the Roman Forum are the Arch of Septimius Severus and the remains of the Julia Basilica. Also prominent in this panorama is the Colonna di Foca.
