Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyad vára)

Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyad vára) is a tourist attraction and museum in Budapest's City Park (Városliget). This image shows the inside of the entrance hall to the Vajdahunyad Castle and museum.

The main way to enter Vajdahunyad Castle through the main gate that leads out onto Kós Károly sétányis. Passing through the gate you come to a large courtyard in which are Jak Chapel (Jáki kápolna) and the statue to Anonymous. Entrance to the exhibitions on the ground floor of the castle is free, but to see the other exhibitions on the top floor you have to buy a ticket.

Adjacent to the castle is a boating lake, and nearby are the Széchenyi Medicinal Baths (Széchenyi-gyógyfürdő) for those needing a rest. Vajdahunyad Castle is very close to Heroes' Square (Hősök tere).
