Panorama of the coastline and coral reef near to Nagigi. This picture was taken on the route back from Vunilagi School where a group of the Fiji Rotary club were making repairs to the water system. I was told that this area was Vavatudamu Beach.

This coral reef lies a little east of Nagigi on the southern side of Vanua Levu island in Fiji. To the east lie other small villages like Vunilagi, and the road is little more than a dirt track. Outside of the main population centers around Savusavu and Labasa many of the roads are little more than dirt tracks. These can become impassable during heavy rains. These routes are little used by tourists as they journey through lush tropical rain forest and run along beautiful coastline. However, the old local buses seem to be able get along them whatever the weather.
