The Municipal Handicraft Centre in Suva probably contains one of the largest collections of local arts and crafts available in Fiji. While the outside of the building does not look very impressive, inside are various stalls selling all kinds of local, hand made goods. Here you will find everything from ethnic jewelry, handmade baskets, clothes, leather goods and wooden and stone carvings and ornaments. The

Municipal Handicraft Centre has become one of the tourist highlights in Suva. Entrance is free and it is open daily. Be prepared to haggle over the prices. It is next to Sukuna Park and Stinson Parade, close to Suva Municipal Market and Suva Bus Station.
