Suva Municipal Market is the place to come in Suva for fresh produce. It is one of the largest and busiest markets in the whole of Fiji. The market gets very busy on a Saturday morning but at other times, when the stall holders have some spare time, they are usually willing to help tourists out with pronunciation and use of the fruit and vegetables on sale. Near the eastern end of the market is a plethora of banana stalls.

Suva Municipal Market is right next to Suva Bus Station, and quite close to the Municipal Handicraft Centre. The market is open Monday to Friday from 5am to 6pm, and on Saturday from 5am to 1pm.
