The Palazzo di Glustizia in Rome houses the Supreme Court of Appeals of Italy. It is known locally as 'Palazzaccio' or the 'Big Bad Palace' because of the severe architecture. The Palazzo di Glustizia was built between 1888 and 1910 using massive travertine stone blocks, the quarrying of which produced a sink hole. Though not open to the general public the building is worth visiting for architectural reasons.
The Palazzo di Glustizia stands on the banks of the Tiber River just west of Castel Sant'Angelo and the St Peter's, at the northern end of Ponte Umberto.
