River Wandle at Hackbridge - FURTHER INFORMATION

River Wandle at Hackbridge - Carshalton visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'River Wandle at Hackbridge' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Greater London.

The River Wandle originates from springs feeding both Waddon Ponds in Croyden and Carshalton Ponds in Carlsholton. It then flows about 9 miles through southwest London joining the River Thames on the Tideway at Wandsworth.

At one time the river flowed through various little villages, today these have all merged into the suburbs of London. These suburbs include, in order along the length of the river, Croydon, Waddon, Beddington, Wallington, Carshalton, Hackbridge, Mitcham, Ravensbury, St Helier, Morden, Wimbledon, Merton Abbey, Colliers Wood, Summerstown, and Wandsworth.
