A church is mentioned in Mickleham in the Doomsday book of 1086. Parts of the original Saxon church, over 1000 years old, are incorporated into the current church. Much of the current church dates from the Norman era, around 1180. In 1823 the church arches were raised and the North Aisle added in 1827. Around this time two tombstones from around 1330 were uncovered and now rest either side of the entrance porch.
