Stanwell Park is a popular tourist destination between Sydney and Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia. The village lies in a small valley on the northernmost point of the Illawarra coastal strip between Bald Hill, Stanwell Tops and Mount Mitchell. To the north is the Royal National Park or Sydney. Stanwell Park also has tow lagoons formed by the village creeks (Stanwell and Hargave) and a beach.
Together, these natural resources make Stanwell Park a popular year-round tourist destination with plenty of outdoor sports and activities. The area is probably most well known for hang gliding from Bald Hill down to Stanwell Beach. The Stanwell Tops offer good climbing, with stunning views from the top. Bushwalking is possible on several tracks including the Wodi Wodi Track and Stanwell Tops Lookout Track.
Other attractions in the area include Symbio Wildlife Gardens, the Sri Venkateswara Hindu Temple (the first Hindu temple in Australia), Intabane Mansion at Bald Hill and Kelly's Falls.
