Piazza dell'Esquilino in Rome lies part way between Cavour and Termini metro stations on Via Cavour. The square also contains Hotel Esquilino, a 3 star hotel in Rome. In the middle of the square is an obelisk which was taken from the Mausoleum of Augustus. It is behind the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The entrance to the church in on Piazza S Maria Maggiore.
