The Chiesa del SS.Nome di Maria Church (Church of the Most Holy Name of Mary) is next to the Trajan Forum, close to the Roman Forum and the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II in the heart of Rome.
The church is named for the feast of the Holy Name of Mary, instituted by Pope Innocent XI after the victory of the Austrian-Polish armies over the Turks in the Battle of Vienna in 1683. The Congregation of the Most Holy Name of Mary built the Santissimo Nome di Maria church in the current location between 1736-1741. Inside this elliptical church are seven small chapels, decorated in polychrome marble.
