The township of Redruth, renamed to Wannon in 1908, was first settled in 1908. The little community, situated in a rural part of Victoria state in Australia, consisted of two schools, two hotels, a store, four saw mills and a ferry crossing for the river. The township is best known for the nearby Nigretta Falls and Wannon Falls waterfalls.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Wannon is 18km west of Hamilton and 110km east of Mt Gambier.
