Broadbench Beach is a flat rocky shelf to the west of Kimmeridge Bay which is exposed at low tide. This is part of the Jurassic Coast which stretches parts of Dorset and Devon. The rock here is mostly soft slate and clay and both amonite and bellomite fossils are common. Kimmeridge Bay is popular with surfers, who refer to Kimmeridge Bay as K-Bay. The area, popular for coastal walking, is part of a 95 mile long coastal path. The area is also used for army training exercises.

Kimmeridge Bay lies east of Weymouth, west of Swanage and south of Wareham in Dorset.
