The south end of the island is linked to Margit Hid, and the north to Árpád Bridge. Margit Island is mostly covered by open parkland. It contains a number of significant sights and attractions and is a popular recreational area for tourists as well as locals.

These travel directions take you to the south entrance to Margaret Island (Margitsziget).
Metro: M3 (Nyugati pályaudvar) then trolleybus 4, 6 down Szent István körút.
Trolleybus: 2, 2a (terminates on the Pest side of Margit hid), 4, 6 (cross the bridge)
