Top of Männlichen Bubble and Chair Lifts - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama taken from the top of the chairlift and bubble lift up the Mannlichen slopes. The picture shows a view back down the valley towards Grindelwald and the dramatic peaks of the Jungfrau ski area. On this sunny day we were above the cloud layer, which can be seen in the valley.

The Männlichen ski basin is one of the most popular parts of the Jungfrau ski area. These skiing slopes start at around 2230m and run down the north-east face of Männlichen towards Grindelwald and Grindelwald Grund. The top of the Männlichen is served by several lifts, including a bubble lift all the way from Grindelwald, ascending 1283m, and a cable car from Wengen, ascending 948m. An extensive network of red and blue runs descend from here. the network also links to the Kleine Scheidegg and Lauberhorn ski areas through a series of runs and lifts. These have to be used if you wish to ski back down to Wengen.
