The church of St Peter and St Paul stands in a narrow country lane just north of Nutfield in Surrey. Plans for the doubtless nave date from the 12C, but the oldest parts of the current building are parts of the chancel from the 13C. The chancel arch was widened during the 14C and the south transept and tower were added in the 15C. The church has 6 bells with dates ranging from 1662 to 1897.
The churchyard is well planted and taken care of. A notice here states that the church wardens are keenly aware that churchyards also serves as important wildlife sanctuaries and that the grass here is mowed at specific times to encourage a range of flowering plants.
