Panorama of the Musical Fountain at the north end of Margaret Island in Budapest. The fountain was originally built to host open air concerts. It is close to the Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget.Margaret Island (Margitsziget, Margit-sziget) in Budapest lies in the middle of the River Danube. The south end of the island is linked to Margit Hid, and the north to Árpád Bridge. Margit Island is mostly covered by open parkland. It contains a number of significant sights and attractions and is a popular recreational area for tourists visiting Budapest on holiday as well as locals.

These travel directions take you to the south entrance to Margaret Island (Margitsziget).
Metro: M3 (Nyugati pályaudvar) then trolleybus 4, 6 down Szent István körút.
Trolleybus: 2, 2a (terminates on the Pest side of Margit hid), 4, 6 (cross the bridge)
