Panorama taken from the dam wall overlooking the Upper Linacre Reservoir near Chesterfield in Derbyshire. This is the highest of three reservoirs which descend down a valley on the east side of the Peak District. The oldest of the three is the Lower Linacre Reservoir, built in 1854. The area is also popular for walking and hiking and the reserviors have become important wildlife preserves.
