All Saints Church stands just south of Carshalton Ponds and Grove Park, next to the Greyhound Hotel in Carshalton. It is the parish church, parts of which date back to the 12th century and contains a full peel of bells. The oldest part of the church is the tower, which is pre-Norman, and the church is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. Over the centuries the church has been extensively remodeled and developed so that little remains of early forms. From the front All Saints has a beautiful flint walls, but at the back these have been changed in part for red brick.
