Wimborne Minster church is the parish church of Wimborne, a popular market town in Dorset, southern England. The church is dedicated to St Cuthburga, the sister of Ina, King of the West Saxons, who founded a Benedictine nunnery at the site of the present day minster in around 705 AD. The nunnery was destroyed by the Danes in 1013 and the minster rebuilt by the Normans between 1120 and 1180.

Much of the building seen here dates from the Norman period, though the central tower is Saxon. A 13C spire used to sit on top of the tower, but this was blown off in a storm around 1600. Gothic elements from various periods have also been incorporated into the church. Inside Wimborne Minster is one of only four remaining Chained Libraries on earth. This library was founded in 1686 and is the second largest chained library in England. Some of the manuscripts held by the library date back to 1343 and are written on lamb skin.

Wimborne Minster lies just beyond the northern edges of the Bournemouth and Poole conurbation, close to the A31. Signs will lead there from both towns. The A31 starts at the end of the M27 near to Southampton and continues west to Bere Regis, where it joins the A35.
