Lancaster is a fast growing city a short distance north of Los Angeles in California, close to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Attractions and activities around Lancaster include walking and hiking in Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve and hiking and riding in Saddleback Butte State Park or Red Rock Canyon State Park. There is Western Hemisphere Native Art in the Antelope Valley Indian Museum and Western Hotel and Museum. The Lancaster Museum and Art Gallery also contains an historical exhibition and more art.

Road: Lancaster is about 70 miles from central Los Angeles on the Interstate 5 and then Highway 14. It is about 220 miles south of Death Valley and Sequoia National Park.
