Kings Road runs along the beach front of Brighton, on the top of the cliff above Brighton Beach. It is lined with numerous hotels offering ocean views. Among these hotels are the Ramada Brighton, Brighton Hotel, Kings Hotel, Barcelo Brighton Old Ship Hotel, De Vere Grand Brighton and Holiday Inn Brighton-Seafront. Most of these are luxury 3 or 4 star hotels, and the De Vere Grand Brighton is a 5 star hotel.

On the beach near West Pier are basket ball courts and a volley ball area. There are also numerous beach cafes offering refreshments, clubs and bars. Just behind Kings Road are The Lanes, and West Way runs up the hill north from the beach front towards Brighton Station.
