The Moyles Court Sandpit is a popular local attraction in the New Forest in Hampshire. It lies close to the villages of Ellingham and Blashford, a little north of Ringwood, and descends down the side of a steep hill to a sandy basin. Nearby is a small stream and ford. Both of these areas are popular with children, mixing play in sand and water. Nearby are numerous family-friendly pubs and forest walks. At the top of the hill is an ancient bowl barrow mound which offers stunning views over the Avon Valley and Ibsley lakes.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Take the A338 (Salisbury Rad) north from Ringwood heading for Salisbury. About 1.5 miles down the road turn right into Ellingham Drove and continue for about a mile to the Ford. From Bournemouth (and Poole) take the A338 to Ringwood and continue as above. Parking available on the south side of the Sandpit.
