The Great Synagogue (Dohány Synagogue, Dohány utcai Zsinagóga) of Budapest is designed like a basilica with both Byzantine and Moorish elements. Entrance to the Synagogue complex is ticketed which allows visitors access to the Synagogue itself as well as to the National Jewish Museum and the grounds which contain memorials to the Jews killed in WWII. Visitors are expected to dress appropriately.The Great Synagogue is a short walk along Múzeum krt to the National Museum of Budapest. Other nearby attractions in Budapest or a religious nature include the Inner City Parish Church (Belvarosi_Plebaniatemplom) and Hungarian Orthodox Church (Magyar ortodox templom) both close to Erzsébet Bridge (Elizabeth Bridge). The Central Market Hall (Nagy Vasarcsarnok) next to Szabadság híd (Liberty Bridge) is also nearby.
