Cala Canyamel lies on the northeast coast of Mallorca between Cala Millor and Cala Ratjada. Cala Canyamel has a fine sand beach and clear blue waters protected by a headland to the north. A sand bar just off shore causes the swell to break a little from the beach front and then roll in. The beach here is popular with both locals and visitors, lined with various cafes and bars, sun beds available for hire, showers and toilets.
Canyamel contains numerous beach hotels and resort hotels and holiday apartments. One of the most well known resort hotels is the Beach Club Font de Sa Cala, but the Canyamel Classic is also quite popular.
Near to Cala Canyamel are the Coves d'Arta (Caves of Arta) full of stunning stalagmites and stalactite formations. Also nearby is the newly opened Torre de Canyamel (Tower of Canyamel) attraction which contains a museum and stunning views over the surrounding countryside from the top of the tower. Canyamel also contains 4 golf courses, including Capdepera Golf and Pulla Golf.
