It is most well known for the Glenfinnan Monument and the Glenfinnan Viaduct and has become a popular visitor attraction near to Fort William on the Road to the Isles. Glenfinnan also hosts the Glenfinnan Highland Games and the Glenfinnan Fun Day. There are several popular walks in the hills around the area.Glenfinnan Viaduct Glenfinnan Viaduct has entered the popular conciousness through use in numerous Harry Potter films, especially in 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' where a lengthy sequence shows the 'Hogwarts Express' crossing the viaduct on the way to the school. It also featured in 'The Prisoner of Azkaban' and 'The Goblet of Fire', as well as in other films like 'Charlotte Gray' and 'Monarch of the Glen'. Travel Directions and Getting There: Train: Glenfinnan Station. Bus: From Fort William to Mallaig and Acharacle.
