Budapest City Park (Városliget)

Budapest City Park (Városliget)

City Park (Varosliget) in Budapest is a popular park outside the center of Pest. There are several interesting attractions in the park. The most popular of these with tourists is the Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyad vára) with the associated Jak Chapel and the Statue of Anonymous and a City Park (Városliget) - Boating Lake.

The Budapest City Park also contains one of the most famous baths, the Széchenyi Medicinal Bath (Széchenyi-gyógyfürdő), which is a great place to relax and unwind.

Other attractions in City Park include a zoo, and the Transport Museum. However, for tourists it does not stop there for on the western edge of the Park is Heroes' Square (Hősök tere), which is deservedly famous and well worth a visit. Heroes' Square also has the Museum of Fine Arts (Szépművészeti Múzeum) and the Palace of Art (Műcsarnok).
