Stirling Old Town - FURTHER INFORMATION
Stirling Old Town - Stirling visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Stirling Old Town' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Stirlingshire.
The Old Town of Stirling contains many of the top tourist attractions in the city. Full of narrow lanes, cobbled roads and on-way systems, the best way to explore it is on foot. Within Stirling Old Town you will find Stirling Castle, the Church of the Holy Rude and graveyard, Cowane's Hospital and Guildhall, Tollbooth and Mercat Cross, Old Town Jail attraction and Darnley's House (now a coffee house, shown in this picture).
Part of the Old Town wall still exists, and the Back Walk proceeds along this up Castle Hill to Stirling Castle. It starts from near the Tourist Information Centre and passes Albert Halls, Holy Trinity Church and the King's Knott.
