The Quiriang Pass is on the road from Staffin to Uig that crosses the Totternish Peninsula on Skye. The views from the top of the pass east are truly stunning. From Staffin, the narrow road follows River Brogaig up the valley under the dramatic escarpments of the Quiraing (Cuith-Raing), passing below Maoladh Mor before climbing steeply to a height of about 250m. The road then follows River Rha down the other side to Uig.

This is a popular place for ridge walking, with tracks heading both north and south along the hills here. This picture, taken from the track towards Maoladh Mor and Meall na Suiramach (543m). In it you can see both Loch Leum na Luirginn and, to the right, Loch Cleat.

The Quiriang Mountain pass is abut 4 miles from Staffin. Head north on the A855 to Brogaig and then turn left onto the road marked to the Quiriang. The pass is about 6 miles from Uig. From Uig take the A855 north and then follow signs over the peninsula to Staffin. There is limited parking at the top of the pass, and often a refreshment stand.
