The Salisbury Crags are about a mile east of Edinburgh Castle in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh. There is a walking path up along the base of the crags and various paths that wind along the tops, providing some of the most stunning panoramic views over Edinburgh, the Firth of Forth and the countryside beyond, topped only by Arthur's Seat itself. Walking Salisbury Crags is popular with both locals and visitors alike, though the tops are often very windy.

Salisbury Crags cliffs are up to 46m (150 feet) high rising from the top of a steep talus (scree) slope that ascends from Holyrood Park. They are made of columnar basalt and have been carved by glaciation. The crags are also visited by climbers.
