Ferreries is a small town in the middle of Menorca, on the main road running from to Mahon. It is the highest town on the island, at an altitude of 150m and next to S'Enclusa, the highest hill on Menorca. The town has a farmer's market every Tuesday and Friday which is very popular with locals selling fresh local produce.
Within Ferreries is the Museu de la Natura (Museum of Nature) showing the natural history of Menorca. Other nearby tourist attractions include the Castell de Santa Agueda and a short drive south to , reputedly one of the best beaches on Menorca. Between the 23rd-25th August the town holds a fiesta for St Bartholomew.
There are a small number of rural hotels and holiday apartments scattered in and around Ferreries.
