The beach of Es Grau lies within Natural Park of S'Albufera de Es Grau on the eastern side of Menorca. This is a long beach, 590 metres long and 35 metres wide, which curves gracefully round the back of the bay. It is protected on either side by headlands, which almost close off the open sea. The opening in the bay is protected by d'en Colom island.
The village of Es Grau can be seen at the eastern end of the bay. The area is hot too heavily touristed and contains various nice cafes and restaurants. This area is protected from major hotel development, and great for walking and watching wildlife. It is a popular location for boat trips from surrounding marinas during the summer months.
Nearby, also within the park, is Far de Favaritx (Cap de Favaritx), on the end of which stands a lighthouse.
Car: Cap de Favaritx is about 10km north of Mahón on the Me-7 and Me-5.
