Punta Roja literally means 'red end' and there are several such named places in Ibiza. The Punta Roja shown here is the best known one, forming the end of the headland on the southern side of Cala Vedella on the western coast. There is a path that leads to the top of the point from which it is possible to see through the trees far down the coast.

This panoramic image shows the view back down onto Cala Vadella from the road. The drive up is also pretty dramatic as the beach and cove drop away. Another picture shows the view from the road on the north headland (Aeropuerto de Ibiza road).

Cala Vedella itself is a well developed beach with numerous hotels, holiday apartments, shops, bars, cafes and reatuarants.

Road: Cala Vadella is about 24km from Ibiza Town. Take the PM-803 north and just past Sant Josep turn left onto roads signposted to Cala Vadella.
