Placa Sant Josep Oriol lies a short distance from the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia in Barcelona. The square is lined with bars, cafes and restaurants and is often filled with artists selling their wares. On the square is the entrance to the Church of Santa Maria del Pi (Església de Santa Maria del Pi), a 14th century Gothic church that was gutted by fire in 1936 and restored in the 1960's
