Savat Sada Waterfall lies a short distance from Chiplun in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra region of India. Chiplun is an industrial town with numerous pharmaceutical and chemical industries. It is a major stop on the Konkan Railway, some 320km south of Mumbai, and has numerous hotels for visitors and travellers between Goa and Mumbai.

Chiplun lies on the banks of the River Vashishti in a valley between the Western Ghats and Guhagar. The summer days are vary hot, reaching 30°C with a monsoon season between June and October. The town was badly affected by the 2005 Maharashtra floods.

Just south of Chiplun is Chundolli National Park, which is part of the Sahyadri Tiger Reserve and attracts an increasing number of eco-tourists. The park contains numerous historical sites, ruined palaces and temples. As well as rich in flora and fauna, the park has many scenic sites like Kandhardoh and Kandhardoh Falls, Tanali Falls and Vasant Sagar Reservoir.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE

Rail: Chilpun Station on Konkan railway.
Road: Chiplun is 320km south of Mumbai and 89 km north of Ratnagiri on the NH17. It is 200km southwest of Pune.

Beautiful..Ratnagiri is amazing place in Kokan covered always by greenery..There are many waterfalls in Ratnagiri and overall Kokan but Savat Sada Waterfall is something different.
