Panorama taken outside the Schiltgradhüsi, a mountain restaurant in the Murren ski area in Switzerland. The picture, taken on a clear day, shows the fantastic views over the valley to the Jungfrau and Eiger, as well as up to the top of the Schilthorn which rises above the restaurant. It was taken while skiing in the area in 2006.

Schiltgradhüsi is one of the mountain bar/restaurants on the slopes of the Schilthorn mountain, above the village of Mürren in the Bernese Oberland Alps of Switzerland. In the summer it is frequented by walkers hiking in the mountains and in the winter it is used by skiers as part of the Mürren-Schilthorn ski region.

Schiltgradhüsi is near the top of Schiltgrat (2145m) which is a popular launch spot for paragliding. It has commanding views over the valley to some of the most famous mountains in Switzerland, including the Titlis (3238m), Jungfrau (4158m), Mönch (4107m) and Eiger (3970m).

In the winter time the Schiltgart chairlift and Gimmeln drag lift take skiers up to the top of Schiltgart. A red run leads down from here back to Mürren. Blue and red runs and a 2.5km walking trail lead down to Gimmeln (1813m) where there is another mountain restaurant. Bllue run 20 leads, called Hindenburg, leads down to Sonnenberg bar below Allmendhubel and connects with black run 21.
