Gimmeln - Mürren-Schilthorn Skiing - Jungfrau visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Gimmeln - Mürren-Schilthorn Skiing' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Bernese Oberland.
During the summer, Gimmeln is about a 40 minute, 3km, walk from Mürren in the Bernese Oberland Alps in Switzerland. Here you will find a mountain restaurant offering stunning views over the Jungfrau valley to some of the most famous peaks in the country, including the Eiger and the Schwarzmönch.
In the winter skiing season, a red run (26) and a sledging track (40) descends back down to Mürren from here and an off-piste run descends to Gimmelwald. The Gimmeln drag lift takes skiers further up the mountain to Schiltgrat (2145m). From both blue and red pistes and runs lead back down to various sections of the mountain including the bottom of the Schiltgrat chair at Taverne, down to the cable car to Birg Restaurant, and also over towards Allmendhubel below which are several mountain bars. These all lie within the Mürren-Schilthorn ski area.
