The Gimmeln piste is a red run that descends 332m from the top of Schiltgrat (2145m) down to Gimmeln in the Mürren-Schilthorn ski area in Switzerland. On a clear day, as in this picture, there are great views over the Lauterbrunnen Valley to the mountains of the far side. Parallel to this piste is red run 25 (Schilt-Apollo), also visible in the picture.
During the summer months a walking path runs up the valley next to this piste to the top of the Schiltgrat, ending up near the Schiltgradhüsi mountain bar. Other paths in the area continue up Blumental to the Birg Restaurant and, eventually, to the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant at the top of the Schilthorn.
