Honneg Ski Piste 13 - Wengen Skiing - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama taken skiing around Wengen in Switzerland. The picture was taken late in the day (you can see long shadows behind the skiers) while heading back to Kleine Scheidegg. It shows the piste down to one of the ski bars and great views of the Eiger and other mountains in the area.

Honnegg piste is a red run in the Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen ski area in Switzerland. It is served by both the Honegg draglift and Gummi chairlift and descends back down to the Arven Garde Bar where skiers can get some refreshments before either continuing down the mountain to Grindelwald or take the Arven Chairlift back up to Kleine Scheidegg.
Both this red run and red run 12 (Rhor) form a vital link in the transit from the slopes around Männlichen back to the slopes around Kleine Scheidegg, especially at the end of the day when skiers head back down towards Wengen and Lauterbrunnen either by skiing or taking the cog mountain train from Kleine Scheidegg Station
The views from here are dominated by triangular north face of the Eiger (3970m). Clockwise from here is the Mönch (4107m), which is linked to the Jungfrau (4158m) by a saddle on which lies Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe. Nearer by are the peaks of the Lauberhorn, Tschuggen (2520m) and Männlichen (2343m). Whether skiing in the winter or walking in the summer, these are some of the best mountain views in Europe.
See the Jungfrau Skiing Map for more about skiing in the region, with a breakdown of the number and types of ski lifts, ski runs and connections. It also contains an interactive piste map with various 360° panoramas taken from the various skiing areas.
