Inverness Street Market - FURTHER INFORMATION

Inverness Street Market - London visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Inverness Street Market' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Greater London.

Inverness Street is one of the markets that combined form Camden Market in London. The Inverness Street Market has existed since about 1900 and used to sell mostly fresh food, fish and vegetables, however in recent years most of the food stalls have been replaced with those selling clothing and other items, and is not as popular as other markets in the area.

Inverness Street is also well known for the excellent continental style bars and restaurants, many of which stay open late into the night. The street leads off from Camden High Street, just north of Camden Town tube station. On the other side of the high street is The Camden Market which sells mostly clothing and The Electric Ballroom, a famous nightclub.

A short walk north of here is Camden Lock and the Regents Canal. Clustered around this are some of the more famous markets in Camden, namely Camden Lock Market which contains arts, crafts and food, the Historic Stables Market and Camden Lock Village (previously 'Canal Market') which mostly sells clothing.

Tube: Camden Town (Northern line). At peak times at the weekend passengers can not depart from Camden Tube station and must walk to either Chalk Farm or Mornington Crescent stations.
Bus: Camden Town
Train: Camden, Euston Station, Kings Cross & St Pancras.
