The Chinese Garden (Yu Hwa Yuan) in Singapore are a great place to relax and unwind. This panoramic image shows the pagoda which dominates most of the Chinese Gardens and is visible from quite a distance.
The Chinese Gardens were designed by designed by Prof Yuen-chen Yu, an architect from Taiwan, and opened in 1975. The Chinese Gardens are laid out along the imperial styles common in Norther n China. There are pagodas, rockeries, a bonsai garden and reproductions of Chinese architecture.
The Chinese Garden are sometimes called the 'Jurong Gardens' after the area of Singapore in which they are found.
